RVs at Outlet Recreation
Outlet Recreation is the RV dealer for the Fargo–Moorhead metro and the Red River Valley from our Fargo store, the Becker County lakes area around Detroit Lakes, Perham, and Park Rapids from Detroit Lakes, and the St. Cloud corridor and northwest Twin Cities suburbs along I-94 from Clearwater. Every travel trailer, fifth wheel, toy hauler, destination trailer, park model, and motorhome across our three stores is listed on this page, new and used, with photos, floorplans, pricing, and the store where it is parked.
The lineup is built around the brands that do well in the Upper Midwest: Forest River and its Cherokee and Rockwood divisions, Grand Design and its Reflection line, Keystone and Springdale, Jayco, Coachmen, Heartland, KZ, Dutchmen, Cruiser RV, Kropf park models, and Thor Motor Coach and Winnebago motorhomes. Use the filters to narrow by class, make, length, sleeping capacity, price, or payment, or start from one of the brand and condition pages linked below.

Types of RVs on the lot
The RV category covers every towable and motorized camper we sell. Towables are the bulk of the inventory: travel trailers for most half-ton and three-quarter-ton trucks and SUVs, fifth wheels for heavy-duty pickups with an in-bed hitch, destination trailers and park models built to sit on a seasonal site, toy haulers with a rear garage for ATVs, side-by-sides, or snowmobiles, and lightweight popups. Motorized RVs include Class A coaches, van-based Class B units, and cutaway-chassis Class C motorhomes.
- Travel trailers: the widest range of sizes, floorplans, and prices; towed with a bumper-pull hitch.
- Fifth wheels: taller ceilings, residential layouts, and the most stable tow; needs a pickup with a fifth-wheel hitch.
- Destination trailers and park models: full-size appliances and residential windows for seasonal lots at the lake.
- Toy haulers: a ramp-door garage that doubles as living space once the toys are unloaded.
- Class A, B, and C motorhomes: drive-and-camp convenience with no tow vehicle required.
How to choose the right RV for Minnesota and North Dakota
Start with what you tow. Match the trailer’s loaded weight (GVWR), not its dry weight, to your vehicle’s rated towing capacity, the Tow Guide on this site looks up capacity by vehicle and matches it to inventory. Then think about who sleeps where: bunkhouse floorplans suit families, rear-living and front-bedroom layouts suit couples, and a second bathroom or a loft matters more than square footage on long trips.
Northern camping seasons run from ice-out into October, and plenty of owners stretch that with heated tanks, an enclosed underbelly, and higher-BTU furnaces. If you plan on shoulder-season trips to the North Shore or fall hunting camps, ask about four-season packages. If the RV will live on a seasonal lot, a destination trailer or park model gives you more living space than any towable of the same length.
Why buy from Outlet Recreation
Outlet Recreation has been locally owned and operated since 2007, when the first store opened in Fargo, North Dakota. Today there are three stores (Fargo, ND (492 36th St SW), Detroit Lakes, MN (605 Highway 10 E), and Clearwater, MN (2088 202nd Street East)), and every unit on this page is on one of those lots, with the store named on each listing so you know exactly where to see it.
Buying here means one stop for the whole ownership cycle: financing through multiple lenders (including a no-SSN pre-qualification that does not affect your credit score), trade-in appraisals on RVs, boats, pontoons, and fish houses, factory-trained service across 32 bays, genuine parts and accessories, seasonal storage, and RV, boat, and pontoon rentals if you want to try the lifestyle before you commit.
Financing and trade-ins
Every store can finance your purchase. Start with the payment calculator to see what a price, down payment, term, and rate work out to per month, then apply through the Financing page or pre-qualify with no Social Security number and no impact to your credit score. Our finance team works with multiple lenders to fit different credit profiles and budgets.
Have something to trade? Use the Value My Trade form for an appraisal on your current RV, boat, pontoon, fish house, or trailer and put the value toward your next unit.
Service, parts, storage, and rentals
Outlet Recreation services what it sells, and units bought elsewhere, with 32 service bays across its locations. Fargo's Parts & Service center is at 4120 Main Ave and Detroit Lakes' Service Center is at 1015 Hwy. 59 South, separate from the sales lots, so drop-offs are quick. The Parts department stocks common accessories and can source anything not on the shelf.
Indoor and outdoor seasonal storage (plus boat shrink wrap) is available, and RV, boat, and pontoon rentals run out of all three stores.

How do I know what my truck or SUV can tow?
Use the Tow Guide on this site to look up your vehicle’s rated towing capacity and see which trailers in stock fit under it. Always compare the trailer’s loaded weight (GVWR) to your capacity, and leave a margin for cargo, water, and passengers.
Can I camp in an RV during a Minnesota or North Dakota winter?
Many units carry four-season or extended-season packages with an enclosed, heated underbelly, tank heaters, and a higher-output furnace. Ask the store about the specific unit, the listing’s features and options sections call out cold-weather equipment when it is present.
Does Outlet Recreation rent RVs?
Yes. RV, boat, and pontoon rentals run out of all three stores. See the Rentals page to check dates and book, or rent first to try a floorplan before you buy.
