Shopping Online
How do I get a price quote on a specific unit?
Use the Get Best Price button on the listing. Your request goes straight to the store that has the unit, and a salesperson will follow up with current pricing.
Can I save units and compare them side by side?
Yes. Tap the heart on any listing to save it to My Favorites, and use Compare to line up units side by side. Recently viewed units are kept on the Recently Viewed page so you can find them again.
Can I estimate a monthly payment before I apply?
Yes. The payment calculator works out a monthly payment from the price, down payment, term, and rate. Payments are estimates only, not a financing offer.
Buying & Financing
How do I get started with a purchase?
The best way to begin is by browsing our current online inventory. Once you find a model that interests you, you can reach out via our contact form, give us a call, or visit our showroom for a first-hand look. Our team is here to walk you through the specifications, features, and available options to ensure the perfect fit for your needs.
Can I schedule a viewing or a test drive?
Absolutely. We encourage all our guests to experience our inventory in person. To ensure the specific model you are interested in is available and ready for your arrival, we recommend scheduling an appointment in advance. This allows our specialists to dedicate time to answering your questions and providing a comprehensive tour of the features.
What should I bring with me to the dealership?
To make your visit as efficient as possible, please bring a valid driver’s license, current insurance information, and any relevant documents for a trade-in, such as the title or registration. If you have already started a financing application online, let your representative know upon arrival so we can quickly pull up your information.
Can you order a unit that is not in stock?
For the brands we carry new, yes. Any of the three stores can quote a factory order for the floorplan and options you want.
Do new units come with a warranty?
Yes. New RVs, boats, fish houses, and golf carts carry the manufacturer’s factory warranty, and extended service plans are available through the finance office at delivery.
Are used units inspected before they are sold?
Yes. Pre-owned units go through the service department before they are listed, and the listing photos show the unit as it sits on the lot.
Can I get financing for an RV or boat at Outlet Recreation?
Yes. We offer financing on RVs, boats, pontoons, and fish houses, and we work with multiple lenders to find terms that fit your budget. You can start a credit application online on our Financing page, or contact any of our three stores to get started.
How do I apply for financing?
Fill out the credit application for your store on the Financing page, or pre-qualify first with no Social Security number and no impact to your credit score. Use the payment calculator to estimate a monthly payment before you apply.
What can I finance?
RVs, boats and pontoons, fish houses, and golf carts, new and used. RV-certified fish houses finance like any camper.
Can I pre-qualify without a Social Security Number?
Yes. Our Pre-Qualify No SSN Required page lets you pre-qualify for RV, boat, and fish house financing with no Social Security Number and no hard inquiry on your credit file.
Trade-Ins
Can I trade in my current RV, boat, or fish house?
Yes. We accept trade-ins on RVs, boats, pontoons, and fish houses, and we will appraise your unit and apply its value toward your next purchase. You can start on our Value My Trade page, or contact us to set up an appraisal.
How do I find out what my trade is worth?
Send the Value My Trade form with the year, make, model, and condition of your RV, boat, pontoon, fish house, or trailer, and we will come back with an estimate. You can also bring it to any store for an in-person appraisal.
RVs & Campers
Travel trailer, fifth wheel, or motorhome?
A travel trailer uses a bumper-pull hitch and works with the most tow vehicles. A fifth wheel needs a pickup with an in-bed hitch but tows more steadily and has more residential layouts. A motorhome needs no tow vehicle at all. Destination trailers and park models are built to stay on a seasonal site.
How do I know what my vehicle can tow?
Use the Tow Guide to look up your vehicle’s rated towing capacity and see the trailers in stock that fit under it. Compare the trailer’s GVWR (its maximum loaded weight), not the dry weight, and leave a margin for gear, water, and passengers.
Can I camp in an RV in a Minnesota or North Dakota winter?
Many units carry four-season or extended-season packages with an enclosed, heated underbelly, tank heaters, and a larger furnace. The listing’s features call out cold-weather equipment when a unit has it, or ask the store about a specific unit.
Do you sell park models and destination trailers?
Yes. Kropf park models and destination trailers are built to stay on a seasonal site, with more living space than a travel trailer of the same length. They are a popular choice for lake lots and seasonal campgrounds.
Fish Houses
Which fish house brands do you carry?
Ice Castle is the main brand at all three stores, alongside Cherokee, Forest River, and Glacier, in new and used condition. Fish houses are on the lot year-round in Fargo, Detroit Lakes, and Clearwater.
What size fish house do I need?
For two anglers on weekend trips, a 6.5 x 14 to 8 x 16 house is plenty and tows behind a half-ton truck. Families and groups who want a full kitchen, a separate bedroom, and a bathroom should look at 8 x 17 to 8 x 21 and larger, which need a heavier tow vehicle.
Can a fish house be used as a camper?
Yes. Most fish houses we sell are built to RV standards with a furnace, kitchenette, bunks, and often a bathroom, so they work as a camper from spring through fall and as a heated ice shelter in winter.
Do you service fish houses?
Yes. The service departments handle frame, axle, furnace, and electrical work, and the off-season is the time to book it so the house is ready for first ice.
Do you carry fish house parts and accessories?
Yes. The Parts department stocks fish house accessories such as hole covers and rattle reels, and can order parts that are not on the shelf.
Boats & Pontoons
Which boat brands do you sell?
Barletta, Harris, Bennington, and Premier pontoons, and Crestliner and Tracker fishing boats, plus used boats from many builders that come in on trade. Most boats are at the Detroit Lakes and Fargo stores.
Pontoon or tritoon?
A two-tube pontoon is the better value for cruising, swimming, and fishing on small and mid-size lakes. A tritoon’s third tube carries more horsepower, handles chop better, and pulls tubers and skiers, which suits big water like Detroit Lake or Pelican Lake.
Do boats come with a trailer?
Most new pontoons and fishing boats are sold as boat, motor, and trailer packages; used boats vary. Each listing notes whether a trailer is included, and the store can quote one if it is not.
Do you sell boat trailers?
Yes. Boat trailers are listed with the boat inventory, and the stores can quote a trailer matched to a boat that does not include one.
Golf Carts & Jet Skis
Do you sell golf carts and jet skis?
Yes. We sell new and used Yamaha golf carts and personal watercraft, including Yamaha WaveRunners, and service them as well.
Do you service personal watercraft?
Yes. The service departments handle winterization, spring start-up, and routine maintenance on Sea-Doo and Yamaha watercraft.
Service & Parts
Do you offer RV service and repairs even if I didn't buy from Outlet Recreation?
Yes. Our service department works on units regardless of where you bought them. We have 32 service bays staffed by experienced technicians across our locations.
What do you service?
RVs, boats and pontoons, fish houses, and trailers, all makes and models, including units bought somewhere else. Tell us what is going on in the service request form and attach up to four photos so the shop can quote the work before you haul it in.
Where do I drop off my unit for service?
Service in Fargo and Detroit Lakes runs out of separate service centers, Fargo's Service Center at 4021 Main Ave and Detroit Lakes's Service Center at 1015 Hwy. 59 South, not the sales lots. Clearwater customers can schedule through the Clearwater store. Request service online and we will confirm where and when to bring it in.
What are your service department hours?
Fargo Parts & Service: Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Saturday Closed, Sunday Closed. Detroit Lakes Service: Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Sunday Closed.
Do you winterize boats?
Yes. The service departments handle winterization, spring commissioning, and outboard maintenance for boats and pontoons, and boats can be shrink wrapped for storage.
Can I order parts and accessories?
Yes. Use the Parts request form to ask for genuine parts and accessories for RVs, boats, fish houses, and trailers, and the Parts department will confirm price and availability. Items not on the shelf can be ordered.

Does Outlet Recreation offer storage?
Yes. We offer indoor and outdoor seasonal storage for boats, RVs, fish houses, campers, trailers, and powersports, with facilities in Detroit Lakes, Lake Park, Glyndon, and the Fargo-Moorhead area. Select locations also shrink wrap boats, and you save $100 on shrink wrap when you bundle it with a storage reservation.

Does Outlet Recreation offer RV rentals?

How do I book a rental?
Open the Rentals page to check availability and book online for RVs, boats, and pontoons in Fargo, Detroit Lakes, and Clearwater. Renting is also a good way to try a floorplan or a boat before you buy one.
